I don’t know about you, but there have been plenty of times when I have tried to cope with issues in my life in my own strength. Most of the time, I ended up weary or made a complete mess of things. At the very least, I wasn’t at my best because my strength is never as good as God’s strength. Can you relate?
The good news is that God is always there! He is ready for us to give up, to surrender, and to say, “God, I give it all to you.” He never fails us. Even when we feel He is far from us, He is not. In fact, it is only me (us) who strays. When I don’t spend time in His word, or praising Him in song, or sitting under the teachings of others who know Him….I can become far from Him.
It is my desire to grow ever closer to my Jesus. I am so thankful that He is there, waiting for me. Oh, and so much more! He pursues me relentlessly. And he offers rest for us when we fail.
