Are you broken-hearted? Have you been suffering from hurts in your past, or even your present? Perhaps you have lost a loved one, are struggling through a relationship problem, or just can’t seem to make ends meet. Or more. I think we all have struggled with heartbreak at some time in our lives, and if we haven’t suffered a broken heart yet, we likely will.
I’m so thankful that, in times of great heartache, I can run to the Father. Jesus is not only my Savior. He is God and the Holy Spirit. He comforts me, lifts my head, and offers me grace and forgiveness despite the fact that I deserve none of those things.
This month I am going to be reading through the bible to find verses that speak specifically to suffering and heartache…and offer encouragement. I will share them with you here, one each day, and there will be a printable available with each one, in case you would like a visual reminder for your wall or shelf at home.
Please join me in this series, and invite your friends! Let’s savor together scriptures that will soothe us in our times of trouble.
